Certified Forgotten is a writer-owned horror publication focused on the little movies that leave a big impression. We publish essays on the underseen and underappreciated horror films of the 21st Century.

BJ Colangelo is an award winning filmmaker and film analyst specializing in dismissed cinema and television. She writes about horror, wrestling, musicals, adult animation, sex and gender, kicking pancreatic cancer’s ass, and being a fat queer in places like Fangoria, Vulture, The Daily Dot, Autostraddle, Playboy.com, and a handful of books college students get assigned to read. She’s also the co-host of the teen girl movie podcast, This Ends at Prom, with her wife, Harmony.

Molly Henery is a film critic, entertainment writer, and author of both nonfiction and fiction with a Master&#8217;s degree in professional creative writing. Molly began writing horror film reviews for her own website, The Blogging Banshee, before eventually branching out and writing for other outlets including Fangoria, Dread Central, Nightmarish Conjurings, and more. She is most well-known for her “Uterus Horror” column on Certified Forgotten which examines a different film each month in a subgenre of horror Molly named and defined. Molly has made a name for herself as a horror genre expert which has allowed her to be a guest on numerous podcasts, is a cast member of Mental Health and Horror: A Documentary, and co-authored the upcoming book, Queer Horror: A Film Guide. Uterus Horror: ‘Raw’ Is a Coming-of-Age Story With Bite

Chad Collins has been writing professionally about film, especially horror films, since 2020. He started as a contributor for Dread Central and later branched out with pieces for Gayly Dreadful, Rue Morgue, Certified Forgotten, Anatomy of a Scream, and several others. In 2021, Chad was welcomed on as both a staff writer at Dread Central and a features writer at /Film. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to better enmesh himself into the genre, attending the Sundance Film Festival, where in 2022 he was awarded a Press Inclusion Initiative grant, Fantasia International Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, South by Southwest, and several others.
